White Sands Missile Range (WSMR)

Known as the “Birthplace of America’s Missile and Space Activity”, the U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range covers almost 3,200 square miles in parts of five southern New Mexico counties. It is the largest military installation in the continental United States. WSMR includes the Oscura Range and Otera Mesa bombing range, along with the McGregor Range Complex at Fort Bliss.

The New Mexico Museum of Space History

The mission of the museum is to educate the people of New Mexico and our visitors from around the world in the history, science, and technology of space. The museum stresses the significant role that the state of New Mexico has played in the development of the U.S. Space Program through collecting, preserving, and interpreting significant artifacts relevant to the history of space.
New Mexico Space Grant Consortium
New Mexico State University (NMSU) is the lead institution for the New Mexico Space Grant Consortium (NMSGC). NMSGC is a member of the congressionally funded National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program which is administered by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 1989.
