Sum Up:

  1. A Flight Anomaly Review Board has been established. Members are: Hanson Scott, Chairman; Jerry Tyree, WSMR Representative; Mike Kelly, President PSF; Paul Arthur, Retired WSMR Tech director; Lonnie Sumpter, NMSA Representative; Joe Fries, Retired NASA Manager.
  2. Tetra Tech Inc has been selected at the new Environmental Impact Study (EIS) contractor.
  3. Architects from DMJM are working closely with Virgin Galactic, UP Aerospace, Starchaser, Rocket Racing League, and XPrize Cup.
  4. Temporary improvements to existing roads are scheduled with permanent improvements to follow.
  5. October’s X Prize Cup events were successful; plans for the 2007 exposition are in progress.
  6. The Dona Ana County Commission has voted to put a ¼ cent sales tax on the ballot in an April 3rd, 2007 special election. If passed, it would generate $6.8 million per year, 75 percent of which would be put toward spaceport construction and 25 percent staying in Dona Ana County.
  7. GRIP II legislation to be presented in the 2007 Legislative Session will include $25 million for the spaceport.
