SPACEPORT AMERICA MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Work in the exciting new commercial space industry at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, in southern New Mexico. Install, alter, repair and service plumbing fixtures, and piping, including pneumatic or electric controls and control wiring not greater then 24 volts, concrete supports, and excavating, trenching and backfilling. Includes hot water heating systems not exceeding 30 p.s.i or 400,000 b.t.u,/hour input; piping for fuel, oil and gasoline and for solar energy systems; septic tanks, manholes and sewer lines; irrigation sprinkler systems; swimming pools and spas. Install, alter, repair and service HVAC air handling and refrigeration equipment and piping, including fans, coils, condensing units, self-contained packaged air conditioning or heating units, evaporative cooling units, solar energy systems, ductwork and pneumatic tube systems. May connect water to existing valve outlets, and install controls, and control wiring not to exceed 24 volts. High School Degree required with applicable experience and professional trade licenses (e.g. GB98, MM98, EE98 etc.) highly desired. Preference given for MM98 trade license. SPACEPORT AMERICA AEROSPACE ENGINEER
Work in the exciting new commercial space industry at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, in southern New Mexico. This is a State of New Mexico Government position. Seeking an engineer with launch operations experience, and a degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least five years of experience in space launch systems. Example scope includes performing the following: statistical-based risk assessments; launch readiness reviews; space vehicle trajectory analysis; and guidance, navigation and control system analysis. Demonstrated experience in developing or demonstrated familiarity with Space Range Operations Plans and Flight Safety Plans helpful. Knowledge of and experience with FAA Launch Site Operator License requirements is a plus. US citizens and green card holders may apply (22 CFR § 120.15).
