SPACEPORT AMERICA AEROSPACE ENGINEER

Work in the exciting new commercial space industry at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, in southern New Mexico. This is a State of New Mexico Government position. Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with at least five years of experience in space systems, performing the following: statistical-based risk assessments; launch readiness reviews; space vehicle trajectory analysis; and guidance, navigation and control system analysis. Demonstrated experience in developing or demonstrated familiarity with Space Range Operations Plans and Flight Safety Plans. Knowledge of and experience with FAA Launch Site Operator License requirements is a plus. US Citizenship is required.

SPACEPORT AMERICA FLIGHT CONTROL SPECIALIST

Work in the exciting new commercial space industry at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, in southern New Mexico. This is a State of New Mexico Government position. Degree in Aeronautical Science, Aerospace Engineering or Air Traffic Management with at least five years of experience in civilian or military air traffic control operations. Demonstrated experience with aircraft communications protocols, airspace classification, NOTAM issuance, and FAA policies and procedures is desired. US Citizenship required.

SPACEPORT AMERICA MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Work in the exciting new commercial space industry at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, in southern New Mexico. This is a New Mexico State Government position. An applicant must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Technical Degree desired. An applicant must have at least two years of experience preferably at least four in: altering, erecting, repairing or demolishing residential or commercial buildings including concrete repairs, maintenance and construction; the ability to write reports, read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and operating/maintenance instructions; landscaping and minor road repair. An applicant must have a New Mexico GB-98 license or be eligible to serve as a qualifying party to a GB-98 license. US Citizenship is required.

SPACEPORT AMERICA HVAC/PLUMBER

Work in the exciting new commercial space industry at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, in southern New Mexico. This is a State of New Mexico Government position. High school diploma or GED required at a minimum. Technical Degree desired. New Mexico JP Journeyman Certificate and JR Journeyman Certificate is required. At least two years of experience with installing, altering, repairing and servicing plumbing fixtures, piping, and HVAC systems is required. Four or more years experience preferred. Must have New Mexico Journeyman Certificate JP and JR. US Citizenship is required.
