SPACEPORT AMERICA FACILITIES MANAGER
Work in the exciting new commercial space industry at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, in southern New Mexico. This is a full-time State of New Mexico Government position. Responsible for all facility and infrastructure maintenance activities across 18,000 acres. Challenging mix of advanced building management systems, water systems, electrical systems, unique building construction and airfield assets requiring direction and care. Work requires cooperation with interesting customer and partner base in dynamic, emerging commercial space industry. SPACEPORT AMERICA SALES MANAGER
Work in the exciting new commercial space industry at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, in southern New Mexico. This is a State of New Mexico Government position. Seeking a team player with a strong sense of pace and urgency to ensure targets are achieved within the expected timelines at high levels of quality. The Spaceport America Sales Manager develops and implements a sales strategy as a part of the go-to-market team to ensure consistent, profitable growth in Spaceport revenue. Bachelor’s degree in business focusing on marketing and sales or equivalent minimum of five years experience in international business-to-business, multi-million dollar sales is required. Demonstrated technical experience, particularly in the aerospace industry, is desirable. “Can do” attitude with-out-of-the box thinking. Passion for “space” is a must. SPACEPORT AMERICA BRAND COMMUNICATOR

This is a State of New Mexico Government position. Seeking a creative and insightful thinker with an innovative spirit that can excite and attract customers. The Spaceport America Brand Communicator will develop and execute results-producing brand marketing collateral across social and digital platforms as well as traditional media. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related fields and five years of experience in B2B/B2C marketing communications is required. Solid knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Complete (video editing, print, web), Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+, WordPress, etc. is desired. SPACEPORT AMERICA AEROSPACE ENGINEER
Work in the exciting new commercial space industry at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, in southern New Mexico. This is a State of New Mexico Government position. Seeking an engineer with launch operations experience, and a degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least five years of experience in space launch systems. Example scope includes performing the following: statistical-based risk assessments; launch readiness reviews; space vehicle trajectory analysis; and guidance, navigation and control system analysis. Demonstrated experience in developing or demonstrated familiarity with Space Range Operations Plans and Flight Safety Plans helpful. Knowledge of and experience with FAA Launch Site Operator License requirements is a plus. US citizens and green card holders may apply (22 CFR § 120.15).

CFO/DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Director of Administration Services, in concert with the agency head, is responsible for the development, implementation, continuous monitoring, and improvement of the agency’s system of Internal Financial Control. The CFO establishes and implements sound financial management, accounting, budgeting, procurement, provisioning, internal control systems and processes in compliance with relevant legislative requirements. The CFO will be expected to play an active role in driving operational performance. S/he must be able to outline the financial vision for the organization but also roll up his/her sleeves and drive decisions and execution with a sense of urgency. The CFO is responsible for insuring that the right financial data is available at the right time to the right people to support critical operational decisions. S/he must be able to provide financial planning and analysis and be responsible for both short and long term forecasting for current and potential future business.
More specifically, the CFO is responsible for performing the following tasks: managing and reporting bond expenditures and submitting timely bond draws; managing and reporting the operational budget including incoming revenue and expenses; managing and reporting contract expenditures, maintaining contract balances and keeping contract case files current; complying with DFA policies and procedures including proper and timely entries in the State-wide accounting system; preparing for the annual external audit; strengthening both detective and preventive internal controls related to all financial matters and continuously monitoring the effectiveness of those controls as a component of the internal audit process. The CFO establishes, in coordination with the Agency head, the agency’s budget as well as the execution, analysis, forecasts, and management of a multimillion dollar operating budget in compliance with Public Finance Rule. The CFO is responsible for ensuring compliance with State and Federal Laws as they pertain to timely reporting to oversight agencies.
This is a full time policy making non-tenured Exempt Position located in Las Cruces, New Mexico with relocation to Spaceport America, New Mexico within the next year. The incumbent reports to the Executive Director of the New Mexico Spaceport Authority. The incumbent must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Auditing from a four year accredited school. An MBA is highly desirable. Previous related experience and a Certification of Public Accounting is highly desirable. The annual salary starts at $70,000. Incumbent must be a US Person as defined in 22 CFR § 120.15. U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and green card holders will satisfy this requirement.
