Spaceport America Architects, officials to show renderings of Spaceport at Las Cruces Press Conference PDF Print E-mail

LAS CRUCES - The New Mexico Spaceport Authority and representatives from the architectural/design team for Spaceport America will unveil renderings of the main terminal and hangar facility at a press conference in Las Cruces on Tuesday, September 4. The press conference will begin at 10:30 am at the Barbara Hubbard Room at the Pan American Center on the New Mexico State University campus in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

URS Corporation and Fosters + Partners was awarded the design of the 100,000 square-foot facility, which will serve as the primary operating base for Virgin Galactic and headquarters for the New Mexico Spaceport Authority. Representatives from Virgin Galactic will also attend to provide comment on the current development of the White Knight and Spaceship II spacecraft.

This press conference, which was originally scheduled for July 27, was unexpectedly postponed due to the tragic events one day earlier at Mojave Air and Space Port.
