Spaceport Blog

Looks like a good start on the site, but not very much content. One thing I would like to see is a consolidated job board that encompasses all the postings for the spaceport. Not just those with the state, but all the companies that have announced intentions to build. Currently, you need to go to each companies site to look for positions.

It doesn't seem like there is much news on the progress of the spaceport. I think a weekly update would be relatively easy to manage, and would keep the public interested and engaged. Once construction begins, it would also be great if you posted pictures showing the work. Then we can follow the progress of our country's first civilian spaceport as it literally grows out of the sand. This is a monumental time in the history of space travel and there are alot of people following the progress you are making.

I would like to see more information on the site. More frequent blog updates, more information on the companies that are planning operations, more pictures of the actual site (not just artist conceptions), and especially more information about how to get involved. Either volunteering, or jobs at the Spaceport or with the companies that will be located there that are related to the Spaceport.

Firstly, my congratulations to all the participating companies and their staffs for a great project in my home town area. With my apologies for using this blog to inquire about a personal matter, I would like to find out how I might advertise to specifically to Spaceport America staff members about a 2 1/2 acre river view lot I have for sale in the Radium Springs area. The lot is quite unique, and deserves special consideration for someone wanting to relocate to the area. I do not know where else within the Spaceport America website to post this information/question, or in fact, to target specifically any participants of the project. If anyone can offer advice on this posting, it would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached by email, or by phone at 916 753-0562. If and when I can afford it, I intend to reserve a seat on a future flight. I am always hopeful.

The space port website does not give any information about where it is located! No address, town name or map. It can be deduced that it is in NM, possiblt within Dona Ana or Sierra County, but that is it. This definitely should be addressed!

Someone needs to find out why the sites pages are loading so slowly, and hanging up. The various video will not play. Clicking on the images does nothing

Build it and they will come! What a perfect location for Spaceport America, next to a immense city and connecting with a amazing university at the same time attracting new and wealth group to the land of enchantment. However, I would like to see what opportunities the small communities and surroundings cities will have to expand from this project. The attraction is good for the spaceport but what if you’re located in another small city, Silver City, Alamogordo, Ruidoso, or Roswell? Best so far is the city of Hatch N.M. they get a visitors center spot. Over all this is a big step for New Mexico and we need to support this project. While they think of the economic impact of the state, think of us little guys too. George
