Spaceport America in partnership with FieldTripZoom, a live and interactive educational content platform for K-12 classrooms, make a range of Spaceport America STEM educational content available to every K-12 classroom across the State of New Mexico – free of charge.

From the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, to the Alaska SeaLife Center, to the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, FieldTripZoom works with partners around the world tocreate meaningful learning opportunities that reach past geographic constrictions and uses technology that already exists in most classrooms. Real-time educational programs delivered by experts provide students with unique learning experiences aligning to national and state curriculum standards.

New Mexico teachers can go to http://www.fieldtripzoom.com/educators/ and use their school email address to register without payment.

We want every young New Mexican to have the opportunity to ‘visit’ Spaceport America, either physically or virtually and leave inspired because it is a national treasure playing a historic role in the future of space travel, exploration and commercialization.

“What is Spaceport America”

Find out when you tour behind the scenes. Spaceports will someday replaceairports as humans begin to fly into space routinely just as we fly in airplanes
from place to place today. Learn what it takes to launch people and payloads into suborbital space. Engage with Dr. Bill Gutman, VP of Aerospace, and the Spaceport America crew to learn about what a payload is and how microgravity helps scientists discover breakthroughs to help us in space and her on Earth! New Mexico taxpayers helped build Spaceport America and now this futuristic place attracts people from all over the world to visit the world’s first purpose-built spaceport. At Spaceport America, there are many activities going on every day. Learn how the Spaceport America crew works with aerospace customers, welcomes visitors, and hosts signature events all while running a live commercial Spaceport!

“Blast-off at Spaceport America: Behind the Scenes of a Real Rocket Launch”
